Starting this December, Blooming Hill Farm will host one local winemaker each month for a four-course meal taking place at the farm.
Chef Chris Grare will present dishes that showcase the Blooming Hill Farm’s organic produce, house made pastas as well as locally sourced meats, cheeses and fish, highlighting the rich flavors of the region. Each dinner’s courses will be complemented by the guest vineyard’s exceptional wines, with one of their in-house experts providing in-depth knowledge of the wines served.




Byron Elmendorf of Macari Vineyards

Macari Vineyard Macari Vineyards is located in Mattituck on the North Fork of Long Island, NY, and is owned and operated by the Macari Family. Since the first vines were planted in 1995, the vineyard has gained recognition for its commitment to regenerative agriculture. The vineyard is home to a herd of cattle, integral to the Macari's extensive composting program, and grapes are cultivated without the use of herbicide.We will also be featuring a few wines from their Meadowlark North Fork brand, a small batch only available to purchase on site. Meadowlark North Fork Wines are made with innovative winemaking techniques such as carbonic maceration, long lees aging, skin contact, and whole cluster fermentations.

Bryan Elmendorf, Head Winemaker Byron joined the Macari team in 2020, after a decade working with and learning from pioneering winemakers and viticulturalists all over the globe. We are excited to announce that he will be attending the dinner to guide us through the exceptional wine pairings.
